Guba, Khinalig Tour

Khinalig village of Guba is one of the popular places for tourists visiting Guba. Khinalig village, which is considered one of the highest settlements in the world, is located at an altitude of 2350 meters above sea level. In 1742, the Khan of Guba, Huseynali Khan, allowed the Jews to establish a community free from oppression across the river from the city of Guba. Originally called Yevreyskaya Sloboda, “Jewish Settlement”, the name was changed to Krasnaya Sloboda, “Red Settlement” during Soviet rule.
