Itinerary

Day 1

Day 2

After having breakfast at the hotel, at 08:30 local time, we will leave for Guba district to start the tour.

One of the tourist destinations in Azerbaijan is the Guba region. The historical city of Guba, founded in the 4th century and famous for its ancient mosques and unique carpets, is located 2 hours away from Baku. There are many recreation facilities in the territory of the region, where charming nature, eye-catching landscapes, mountains, springs, rivers, and a green world are invaluable for recreation. Due to its successful location and rich infrastructure, the Guba region is one of the favorite destinations of tourists.

Gachresh forest: on the way to Khinalig village, we will stop in the beautiful Gechresh forest, one of the most visited forests in Azerbaijan, on the roads passing through the trees. offers a panoramic way to enjoy. Many restaurants are ready to serve you national chai (tea) and food to make your experience unforgettable.

Khinalig village: Khinalig village of Guba is one of the popular places for tourists visiting Guba. Khinalig village, considered one of the highest settlements in the world, is located at an altitude of 2350 meters above sea level. Khinalig village, which has a 5000-year history, is located in an area surrounded by mountains in the Great Caucasus mountain range, near Shahdag. There are many springs and caves around the village that attract the attention of tourists. The road to Khinalig is hilly, and the scenery is fascinating. Therefore, you will stop at several places to enjoy the view and take photos. After reaching the village, there will be a short walking tour of the village.

Lunchtime

Guba Carpet Factory: After arriving in Guba, the first stop on our Guba tour will be the Guba Carpet Factory. You will visit Guba’s handmade carpet factory to see how urban women make carpets on stationary machines with only their hands and eyes. It takes about 4-5 months to make one wool carpet.

Red Village (Jewish Settlement): The final destination of the Guba tour is Red Village, which has a population of 3,598 and is considered the only Jewish town in the world outside of Israel and the United States. While Mountain Jews have lived in the area around Guba since at least the 13th century, the official establishment of Krasnaya Sloboda dates back to the 18th century. In 1742, the Khan of Guba, Huseynali Khan, allowed the Jews to establish a community free from oppression across the river from the city of Guba. Originally called Yevreyskaya Sloboda, “Jewish Settlement” the name was changed to Krasnaya Sloboda, “Red Settlement” during Soviet rule.

Return to the hotel in Baku.

Day 3

After breakfast at the hotel, we will start the tour at 09:30 local time.

The first stop on our tour will be “Icherisheher” (Old City). The oldest part of Baku, the “Ancient City”, popularly known as the “Castle” or simply the “Old City” is also a historical-architectural reserve. Icherisheher, the oldest part of Baku, is surrounded by well-preserved fortress walls. More than 1,300 families live on 221,000 m² of land.

Famous architectural monuments located in Icherisheher, Gizgala, and Shirvanshah are considered pearls of Azerbaijani architecture. In addition, there are dozens of historical-architectural monuments—mosques, caravanserais, baths, residential houses, several museums, embassies, hotels, commercial facilities, cafes, and restaurants.

Lunchtime.

Our excursion will continue on Baku Boulevard. Baku Boulevard (Seaside Park), also known as the National Park, is a promenade that was built in 1909 and runs parallel to the seashore of Baku. It is the second largest park in Europe after the park on the Seine in Paris. The park is very popular among both tourists and Baku residents for walking and enjoying the beauty of the city and the sea.

Here you will also see the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, designed by Austrian architect Franz Janz and resembling a rolling carpet.

Walk between decorative stone bridges called Little Venice, a small town on the water and one of the jewels of Baku. There are two large and several small islands, and the gondolas move on canals filled with clear and clean water

Baku Eye Ferris Wheel, also known as Baku Eye and Devil’s Wheel (Azerbaijani: Sheytan Charkhi), is a Ferris wheel located on Baku Boulevard in the Seaside National Park of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. “Devil’s Wheel” users have the opportunity to see Baku Bay, Flag Square, Crystal Hall, and the whole city.

Nizami Street is home to a variety of outlets, from banks to fashion stores, and is one of the most expensive streets in the world.

Fountain Square, as the name suggests, has several beautiful fountains decorating the square. Apart from them, various human-like figures are erected on the streets of the Square, which often attract the attention of tourists to take photos. Like Icherisheher (Old City), Fountain Square is one of the liveliest and most visited places in Baku.
